The French Indochina trading silver circle, commonly known as Zuoyang, was one of the foreign silver circles circulating in China in the late Qing Dynasty. The front of the silver coin is a seated statue of the Statue of Liberty, and the decorative pattern on the back is a wheat ear. French words include "trading silver dollar" and "French Indochina". Zuoyang, according to the "Silver Dollar Illustrated" published in the People's Bank of China in 1952, its official name should be Annan Silver Dollar, also known as "Zuoren" and "Faguang", because the front of this silver coin is cast on the head of the Statue of Liberty. The wreath has seven beams of light, commonly known as "seven horns". But for the convenience of narrative, the term "zaiyang" is generally adopted.

This set of sitting foreign coins is the 1908 edition. The main picture on the front of the coin is a seated statue of Liberty holding a stick. The French text on both sides of the seat is: REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE. Below the goddess seat is the small French BARRE and the year 1908 of the coin's issuance. The main pattern on the back of the coin is a garland, the surrounding circle is explanatory text, the French word on the top of the garland is: FRANCAISE INDO-CHINE, and the silver coin garland has an A letter above the knot. The text below the silver coin wreath is: TITRE 0.900. POIDS 27 GR. The Chinese translation of the words on the back of the whole silver coin is: French Indochina. The silver dollar of the sitting foreign coin is well-made overall, the layout is clear and beautiful, the text is square, and it is well preserved. After the baptism of time and the scouring of the years, the patina is natural, and it has a strong sense of history. This coin is very rare and rare. It has high artistic appreciation value and cultural relic value.

Zaiyang was released intermittently until 1937, when it was declared over because of the shadow of war. After China implemented the abolition of the two yuan reforms in 1933, Chuanyang and French currency gradually unified the shopping malls. It just so happened that at this time, Zuiyang also disappeared. After the end of the Second World War, France briefly ruled Indochina and never issued silver. It played an important role in my country's trade with Southeast Asia in the early days, and its historical significance is extremely high.

Sitting foreign silver coins are well-made and of good quality, and were favored by people in Asian countries at that time. Due to the Second World War, Zuoyang was lost and destroyed a lot. At present, there are very few in existence. It is extremely precious and has a high collection value. In the future, with the development of the silver dollar market and the in-depth research, Zuoyang has a huge potential for development. It is a rare and rare foreign currency with a bright future for collection.
